Mental Health Services

REM Minnesota is committed to working with individuals and their treatment teams to restore and retain basic mental health functioning, independent living and community skills. We offer assistance with:

  • Meal Planning
  • Shopping
  • Budgeting
  • Medication Management
  • Social & Recreational Skills
  • Medical Health Monitoring
  • Crisis Plan Development
  • Community

We offer services to assist individuals in reducing or alleviating barriers to community integration and/or independent living.  We offer small, supportive living environments with up to 24-hour plan of care.

Behavior Management Methods

Challenging behaviors can often interfere with successful illness management and recovery.  Our goal is to help individuals assess and modify their program behaviors. Alternatives to the behavior are identified with the assistance of the individual and their team.  Behavior modification programming is then developed as part of the individual treatment plans.  Dialectical Behavior Therapy strategies are utilized in several programs to support individuals with challenging self-harm behaviors.

Eligibility & Funding Options

Services are provided to individuals with a substantial impairment caused by a mental illness. Funding options include Group Residential Housing, Community Alternatives for Disabled Individuals Waiver, Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver, Mental Retardation and Related Conditions Waiver and Private Pay.
